I take issue with Lee Blackburn's Monday letter, "Nuclear energy is expensive, limited." He refers to the cost of building nuclear reactors, not the generation cost for nuclear energy, which, in 2008, was the lowest of all sources, at 1.87 cents per kilowatt-hour. Coal was 2.75 cents per kWh, gas was 8.09 cents per kWh and petroleum was 17.26 cents per kWh.
